Circles and Shapes in Our Environment

Discuss shapes in the environment

Go outside and explore with your child.  Talk with them about the shapes you see. For instance, the sun is a circle and the roofs on the houses are triangles. See how many shapes you can find together!

Use fabric to create shapes

Look for any extra fabric you might have at home and cut out circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles. Your child can play with them and try to fit them inside each other. Make it a game!
