Fish for Colors

Make your own fishing pole with a long stick, yarn, glue, and a magnet.  Use a variety of different colored construction paper to cut out basic fish shapes.  Place paper clips at the mouth of each fish and place in a large bin.   Ask your child to identify the colors of the fish they catch.  For a challenge, draw letters on each fish to work on letter recognition.
